BIOGRAPHY
Jennifer has enjoyed being creative since her early childhood. She loves drawing from precariuos perspectives. Her eye for detail is noteworthy. The process of creating is just as important as the end result. Creating is a part of who Jennifer is. Constantly needing a creative outlet, Jennifer has many interests: painting, drawing, writing and illustrating, ceramics, scrapbooking, sewing, as well as teaching and public speaking. She enjoys both plein aire painting (painting outdoors) as well working in her studio.
Jennifer enjoys both the arts and sciences. She is a graduate of Gonzaga University, Spokane, Washington with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science. She earned her Masters at the University of Hawaii-Manoa. In 2006, she decided to retire from her corporate career in occupational health and safety to pursue her other passion, her artwork. Currently she is enjoying the challenges and dynamics of watercolor and acrylics.
Continuously striving to improve upon her techniques and learn more, she frequently participates in classes and workshops. She is an active member of the Foothills Art Center, the Colorado Watercolor Society, the Art Students League of Denver, and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. Jennifer and her husband reside in Colorado with their children. |
