| Animals Held In Captivity | |||||||
| There are so many animal museums and zoos all over the world with so many animals in each of them that are silently suffering. People go to these museums or zoos to enjoy looking at the animals and laugh when they do something funny or laugh at them when they're just pacing back and forth in their cage. What people don't realize is how badly these animals are suffering from being held in captivity and not being able to do what they normally do in their own environment. When you see animals, such as monkeys, lions, bears, tigers, elephants, etc. pacing back and forth in their cage, this is an act of distress to them. They act the same way that us humans act when we're in a stresfful environment, which a lot of people don't realize and understand. Animals have feelings just like we do and they suffer terribly when they're caged up. People also don't realize that most of the animals that are held in captivity, including marine life, are ripped away from their families and put in a cage either with strangers or all alone. This is not healthy for the animals. A lot of animals have families and stay with these family members for their entire life, and they do show signs of grief when one of the family members dies. With that in mind, think of how that one poor animal feels when forcefully taken away from their family. Picture yourself being taken away from your parents, family, and friends unwillingly and then put in a locked room alone or with strangers for the rest of your life, never seeing or speaking to your family or friends again. Think about how stressful and upsetting that would be for any of you. That's exactly how the animals feel. Many people don't belive that animals have feelings but in actuality...they do! The more we support these zoos and museums, the more they're going to breed animals and caputre more animals from their natural environment. These animals are going to be born for our entertainment and for money. They are going to suffer horribly for our sake, which isn't what God put them on this earth for. We have to think about the animals and how they feel and stop supporting the zoos and animal museums in our areas and all over the world. We all have to think about the animals and do everything possible to help them. |
