Grafix Shed Gallery
500 N 20th Street
Billings, Montana  59101

Special Projects Co-ordinator for the newly expanded Grafix Level 504 Studios.  Aside from assisting in the co-ordination of ten programming spaces for the one-night shows that occur during the downtown Billings ArtWalk, I have helped to bring together a group of people interested in the future of Grafix Studios as an element of the alternative arts scene in Billings, Montana.
Duties include:  seeking out new talent for exhibitions, creating a formal structure for the proposals of exhibitions, press releases, studio preps, and assisting artists with lighting, tools, installation, signage, and receptions.  The future of Grafix Level 504 may include a not-for-profit tax status, artist residencies, and a link to the Yellowstone Art Museum.

Two hour workshop with high-school age children.  Gave each child one large endroll of newsprint with one roll of masking tape.  The challenge was to make sculptural form with something everyday and fragile as paper.  Began workshop with half an hour of discussion supported by examples such as Christo and Red Grooms.  Children were encouraged to work in groups, but were allowed to work individually if needed.  Emphasized that art can be about play and  experience more than the end result.
