| Much of my work is about the sensuality of the object. I look for a sense of satisfaction in my arrangements, and enjoy discovering the relationships that exist there. I continue to be inspired by the work of Robert Rauschenberg, Joseph Cornell, and Jasper Johns. I enjoy the process of introducing non-traditional materials to my painting. Forging a relationship between painting and sculpture has been a key focus for me. In the studio, I struggle to avoid story-telling in my work. I try to imply a series of events, like a vague memory. |
