Calatrava Expansion Photos - October 1999
![]()
I took my camera along for an employee tour of the MAM construction site.
These are all original photos taken by me.
I had a blast on the tour, and easily went through two rolls of film.
Soooo, here are a few of my favorites!
Please don't take the photos from these pages. This is not an official MAM site.

Please allow some time for the photos to load - Patience is a virture! :o)

This is my absolute favorite. I was facing North towards the existing War Memorial that houses MAM. This is on the side of Lincoln Memorial Drive. This will be one of the first things you see upon entering the new building. |

The view from the plaza is awesome. This should give you a better idea of the whole project. There will be large wing-like structures that will open. Visit MAM's site for the construction camera and more info. |

The above photo is facing southeast. I was standing on the stairs. The rails you see here are now gone. We got to walk around and through this on the tour. Below are photos of this 'tunnel'. |

Much of the building is like an artwork in itself. Many of these scenes look more like sculpture than a building. |

This is the top view of what will be a round glass elevator. If you look in the back, center, you will see where the footbridge will be attached. |

Here we are in the basement (well, sorta) This is the lower view of the above hole in the floor… :o) |

Below: This will be the drive into the parking area. We are looking North towards the existing War Memorial. Left: Looking West towards the Firstar building. |

Here is the huge main part of the building. I can't even explain how beautiful it already is. Imagine when it opens completed with white marble floors and white walls. Whew! |

That’s it for now! I hope you enjoyed your tour! Visit the
