Oceanography
Oceanography is defined as the scientific study of all aspects of the marine environment. As you can tell by the definition, oceanography It is an incredibly diverse subject! It includes the water of the ocean, the life within it, and the earth beneath it. In order to understand this diverse subject we will carry out laboratory exercises, analyze current data provided by agencies such as NOAA, and discuss the social, economic, political, and environmental issues facing our oceans today. Our text will serve as a reference for our studies - it is important that students realize that some issues we discuss in class will not be in the test - so maintain an organized binder and be sure your notes are accurate.
