Alyssa was 5 years old in June, and has just started kindergarten. (My baby is in elementary school already?) She now weighs 36 lbs, and is 42 inches tall. No longer the well tempered child I used to brag about, Lys is an extremely stubborn little one - very independent with quite an attitude (which is often frustrating for me now, but from what I see she will be a very strong woman one day so I shouldn't complain.) She is very social, and has a lot of friends (and "boyfriends") in her class.

Alyssa's number one passion is art. She loves to draw, and she is very good at it. She also likes to sing, and she does so quite well. She is very interested in the human body and how it functions. I think she might know more than I do... She learned how to read last month, so we have been having fun with that:) Alyssa's first favorite movie ever was Annie (the most recent version,)although we haven't seen that one in a long time.


Alyssa also loves to swim, which we don't seem to do often enough. I'd like her to have swimming lessons next summer, which I know she will enjoy.

As far as television goes, Alyssa probably watches too much "House of Mouse" on Disney.


So -- what's the point of this page? Nothing really, just the usual "mommy bragging" deal.
