Mountain Lodges and Washington State

Here are some pictures and web sites of commercial mountain lodges, as well as descriptions of what they offer to the public. There are many lodges in the Cascades and Olympics of WA State. Some are privately owned by families who use them as their own retreats. I have dreamed of our combined family (my immediate and all of my cousins) owning something like this, or a ranch built on our family's homestead land near Wenatchee on the Columbia River.

Also, included are web sites where you can view pictures of Washington State; some include live "cams".

(This page will take a few minutes to download. Please be patient, it is well worth the wait!)

I have been in the surrounding hills and have seen a view of the Peak and Cascade Mountains, similar to this picture (above), but from a lower elevation.

Mount St. Helens, which blew its top in 1980; I experienced the volcanic ash and gas fallout in Eastern WA, when I was living in the Tri-Cities, where I grew up.
