| 12/12/2005 - We're in! We have moved into our new townhouse and really are enjoying the space. We have put together most of our main floor, and started putting up Christmas decorations yesterday! The only thing that has given us any kind of problems with our new place is the stairs...Our box spring will not fit up them! We thought it might fit down the stairs to the basement since the stairwell is open, but it won't fit down there either! We finally took it out of our living room on Saturday and are storing it at William and Laurie's house (thanks!!). Patrick and I made a trip to Babies R Us on Saturday and bought a travel system for the baby! We were really excited to get that taken care of. I have a doctor's appointment on Wednesday, so I will make sure to let you all know how things are going. I will be 36 weeks along on Wednesday! Laurie threw me a baby shower a week ago. It was a lot of fun. I have added a page with some pictures. (See links to the left) Patrick has been working constantly for the past two weeks. He finally had a day off this weekend. He didn't have to work on Saturday or Sunday, so we were able to get a lot done in the house. Poor Patrick is really tired, though. He will only be working at his job in the evening for two more weeks, though. Then he will be done with that one and will only have one job and school. I have been able to do a lot of unpacking in the evenings while Patrick has been at work. Things are really starting to come together. I will be working on putting together the baby's room over the next few days. We have been to our new ward and we think we will really enjoy it. There are a lot more people closer to our age in this ward, so hopefully we will be able to make some new friends. We don't really have very much else that has been going on. Just unpacking. 11/29/2005 - The move is tomorrow. Hopefully everything will go smoothly. We aren't quite as packed as we should be, but that's what tonight is going to be for. Patrick has started both of his jobs now. He is enjoying the work and will be very busy over the next four weeks. His school break is coming up soon. He will be off for two weeks. During those weeks, though, he will be working more. We had a good Thanksgiving. We spent it with some family friends that live about an hour and a half away from us. It was fun. Friday we spent all afternoon packing and Saturday we didn't pack nearly as much as we should have! We did pack for a few hours, though. Sunday, I was released from the Young Women's presidency. Patrick was also released from being the 11 year old scout leader. Next Sunday we will start attending our new ward. We'll update you all after the move. Hopefully it won't be too stressful! 11/23/2005 - Thanksgiving is tomorrow! That means no work for me. Friday Patrick and I are going to spend all day packing. Hopefully we won't be too burned out to spend all day Saturday packing, too. We have some friends coming over on Friday to help us pack. Hopefully we'll be able to get a lot done... Patrick will be starting two new jobs on Monday! He will be working in the mornings before classes at one job and then in the evenings after his classes at another job. The evening job is just seasonal, but it will help us out a lot! He's a little nervous about being so busy with school and two jobs, but excited about not sitting around so much anymore. I'm sure he'll be just fine. Neither of the jobs seems like they will be very stressful, but we'll see. We're moving November 30th - just one week from today. We only are able to have the moving truck from 7am until 5pm, so we will be having a busy day! Patrick and I splurged and went to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire last Saturday. We both enjoyed it. We're going to be taking a tour of the hospital in just a few weeks. We're excited to see where the baby will be delivered. 11/10/2005 - We've signed our lease and received our new address. This move is now just three weeks away and we are no where near where we should be as far as packing goes! It's getting to be a bit stressful... Mentioning things that are just around the corner...baby's arrival!! She is due in just 8 weeks and 6 days! WOW! That's soon! We are anxious to start getting the nursery set up once we move into our new apartment. Patrick found a job in the evenings. Hopefully he will get it. He has an interview this evening. It pays really well, and the schedule is very set. It's only 20 hours a week, which is perfect for him while he's in school. Cross your fingers for us... 11/04/05 - We have given notice at our apartments and will be moving out November 30th. We won't be able to move into our new townhouse until December 1st, though, so we will be without a home for one night! We're working on packing the house up - although that is going very slowly! Patrick started school this week. He's liking his classes so far. This semester doesn't end until the end of February. It's set on a different schedule than most schools because it is a private institution and it's an accelerated program. We went to Kirtland on a Saturday last month. It was fun to see the church history sights there. We have finally registered for baby! There are links on the left of this page (the main page). We are registered at Wal Mart and Babies R Us. We haven't really been up to much else in the past little while. We should be getting our new address soon and if you would like it, just send an email. We hope you all are doing well. |
