| Below are the details that will assist the Sydney Psychos Flyball Team provide a professional demonstration. This list is a guide for the organisers when preparing the event.
1. A flat grassy area with a minimum of 15m by 60m that has no other equipment or displays in it during our demonstrations. For safety reasons and to meet the conditions of the Australian Flyball Associations (AFA) liability insurance (which covers us during demonstrations) the demonstration area must be fully barricaded off from the spectators. The orange cloth/plastic safety barrier that is usually tied onto star pickets would suffice. We also request that good viewing areas be available for spectators. 2. A roped off area adjacent to the Demonstration area for the securing of dogs and erection of shade tents for weather protection. 3. Demonstration area is located away from major noise sources such as centre stages. 4. Access and close parking facilities for an equipment car and trailer. 5. The use of an announcing system during the demonstration. We have found from experience that the best programme for the Flyball demonstrations is that each demonstration should last for approximately 30 minutes. We request that a minimum of 1 hour between demonstrations to allow the dogs to rest. If spectators are encouraged to bring their dogs to your event, we would be happy to set up some of our equipment for them to try. The team members will supervise all equipment to ensure safety of both handlers and dogs. The best time to do this would be directly after the demonstration. I would recommend the duration be for 30 minute. As the Sydney Psychos is a non-profit organisation, we also request a donation, which you deem appropriate, to assist us in the upkeep of the equipment The Sydney Psychos Flyball Team look forward to assisting you with your event. |
