155 WORDS: NOW AND FOREVER

"Scully," Mulder said, "Up until now, I've learned to live without love."

He paused and gazed at her adoringly.

"Like a ship without a sail, wandering aimlessly  lost," he sighed.

Scully arched an eyebrow at him, wondering if he was on those good drugs again.

"Yes," he continued.  "I never knew how it felt, to  lose my control.  But now that I've found you..." he
reached out and gently stroked her cheek with his  fingertips.  "This is all so new."

Scully gulped.  She realized he was serious. She  wasn't sure what to say.  Luckily, Mulder seemed to
have no problem finding more words.

"You and me," he said, "We've got a destiny."

"Mulder," she gasped, blushing furiously.

"Starting tonight," he continued, "We'll be together."

"You and me," she repeated, caught in his spell, "This is what love should be.  And it's gonna be right."

"Now and forever," he murmured, just before his lips met hers.

AUTHOR'S NOTES: 99% as of the dialogue in this story is lyrics from Anne Murray's song "Now & Forever (You & Me)."   I was listening to my Walkman, and, well, this grew in my head.  It was getting crowded in there, so I let it out.
