I'm also a big fan of Google.
When people ask me what I do for a living, I answer "I'm an information specialist."

But that typically evokes only blank stares.

"OK, I'm a business researcher."

Some people understand  or think they understand that term, but others ask "But what do you
do?

"I find information for people, usually on business processes.

If I'm still getting blank stares...

"I'm a professional web surfer" (a true but incomplete answer) And that usually gets "Oh! Cool..."

If I'm not in a mood to explain, or I'm filling out a rental application, "I'm a business librarian" Which is pretty much true although since I don't have an MLS, some would choose to disagree.

OK, so you either get it or you don't but if you'd like to see if I have any links that are useful to you, go and have a look.  I just started typing this page 12/12/01, so it's not very complete yet.  Feel free to suggest sites or help me fight link rot.
