Well, while watching Dragonball (not DBZ) I began to notice an eerie similarity between two characters and Team Rocket. Who are these ancestors of our beloved Team Rocket? None other than Emperor Pilaf's henchmen- Mai and Shao. Still don't believe my theory, keep reading, you might change your mind. |
| Mai & Shao Jessie & James Trying to steal the Dragonballs/ Pikachu Attempts thwarted by spiky black haired kid Goku/ Ash Kid's friends include whiny girl Bulma/ Misty and girl-crazy guy Oolong/ Brock Use of Robots Exploded, blasted off, etc. Use of flying transportation Plane/ Balloon Use of Jeep (Mondo's Jeep) Talking Animals (Shao/ Meowth) Fear hugs Digused as spiky-haired kid (Shao digused as Goku James digused as Ash) Longer appearance in Anime compared to Manga That's all I've caught so far, but I'm still looking.
