Other than her, school's alright. My teacher, Mr. Frank, is nice. We all have his class togerher. I sit right next to Emma. She can be a bit of a busybody in class. She loves to gossip.
Autumn glances at the teacher to make sure that he didn't notice.
Autumn: "What?"
Emma: "What are you doing after school?"
Autumn: "Nothing."
Emma: "Did you want to come over my house?"
The teacher glances over at the girls.
Autumn: "Sure."
Mr. Frank: "Quiet girls, pay attention to the lesson."
Autumn: "I know, I know."
Emma: "You have to talk to him. You need to tell him how you feel."
Autumn: "Emma, you know I can't. We're in different leagues."
Emma: "That's a stupid reason. Different leagues? Bullshit, I don't believe that. You're just scared."
Autumn: "I wouldn't know what to say to him."
Emma: "How about how you feel!"
Autumn: "It's not that simple!"
Emma: "Yes, it is! You're just wasting time! Do you really want him to end up with Nikki?!"
Autumn: "HELL NO!"
Emma: "Well then say something!"
Autumn: "....................."
Emma: "Tomorrow at school, how about you wear something nice, and talk to him."
Autumn: ".......... I'll try."
She gasped. There stood Kevin and Nikki kissing at his locker.
Tears welled up in Autumn's eyes.
Emma starts walking to Autumn to say hi, but stops when she sees what Autumn sees.
Autumn takes off running, with Emma calling after her.
