| Shane Filan, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and 3 friends formed a band called 'six as one', thinking the name wasn't catchy enough, they changed it to 'I.O.U' and released a song, 'Together Girl Forever'. Things didn't go well, so Shane's mum phoned Boyzone Manager, Louis Walsh and he agreed to manage them. Only Shane, Kian, Mark and Michael were picked. |
| However, as the popular choice was 5 lads in a group, they went to Dublin to audition, Bryan McFadden and Nicky Byrne met and decided to give the audition a try. Louis couldn't decide between the two of them, so took them both on... Bye Bye Michael, and the rest as they say is history (in this case record-breaking history!!).................. |

| Westlife, to date have had 7 consecutive number one singles in the UK, and, in total 8, plus a number 2 at christmas on account of bob the fucking builder getting to number one at christmas, I mean, ok people don't like westlife, but I'd prefer Billie to get to number one ahead of bob the builder, AND I FUCKING HATE HER!!!!! considering they have only been around for just under 2 years, that's some achievement! Not only that, but they have one christmas number one under their belts, and 2 platinum albums, aswell as 2 'Record Of The Year's, one for 'Flying without wings', the other for 'My Love'. Oh and Shane is Sexy!! |
