This was taken in early September 1999 at Wildlife Safari a drive thru zoo south of Roseburg. It was a super dry summer as you can tell by the grass.
This was taken March 12th 2000 on the way to Crater Lake. Notice how green the grass is now. Also notice the green on the trees. That is lichen on the trees not leaves. It is so cool; most of the trees are that green right now.
This is a view of Roseburg from the top of one of the hills. Only part of town is visible. The dark ridge in the background to the right is Mt. Nebo Ridge and is visible from my front yard.
This is a view of the area west of Roseburg. The Callahan Mountains (part of the coast ranges) are visible in the far background to the left.
This is a January 2000 sunset over the Callahan Mountains just west of Roseburg.
This was taken in a rural area along the South Umpqua river upstream from where I live.
This is also upstream from where I live. By car, this area is about 30 minutes south east from Roseburg.
