Cannon Beach Area Photo Gallery
I have only been to the northern coast twice; once in June and once in February.

This is the coast range taken from the town of Cannon Beach.
This is Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach; it is 235 feet tall. It is the third largest free standing monolith in the world You may recognize this rock from the end of the movie The Goonies. Cannon Beach is a cute little tourist town with lots of cool artsy stores.
This is a view of Cannon Beach from Ecola State Park. Haystack Rock is the monolith close to the center and to the left of the low, tiny cloud. That cloud was so weird; I didn't even notice it until it was surrounding Haystack Rock. Ecola is the furthest south that Lewis and Clark explored.
This is my first sunset over the Pacific Ocean (February 19, 2000). I wish there were pinks and purples instead, but this was acceptable. I took it from Cannon Beach.
This is a view of the coast from a vista point along highway 101 overlooking the town of Manzanita. Manzanita is not right near Cannon Beach, but for now, this picture will remain in this photo gallery.
