Stinson Beach and Sonoma County Beaches Photo Gallery
These photos were taken on June 18, 2001 along highway 1 from San Francisco to Jenner.
These are hills on the way to the coast north of San Francisco. San Francisco is somewhere past these hills.
This is a overlook into the ocean.
This is highway 1 (yes that is a road) just north of San Francisco near Stinson Beach State Park. The road is super curvy most of the way. You can just barely tell that on the left hand side, the road does continue on down the hill after briefly going out of the picture.
I have been told that it takes about 6 hours to drive from Fort Bragg to San Francisco on 1. It would take about half that time on 101 from Willits to San Francisco. (Willits and Fort Bragg are at approximatly the same latitude.)
This is along the Sonoma County Beaches near the town of Bodega Bay. This steep trail lead down to the beach.
This is further down the steep trail to the beach. The steps are all messed up from getting hit with the surf at high tide.
