Smith Rock State Park Photo Gallery #2
This is the east end of the canyon. Golden eagles, praire falcons, and 2 kinds of hawks live here, and occasionaly a bald eagle can be seen here too.
The notch in the rock is Asterix Pass and Mt Jefferson (the second tallest peak in Oregon) can be seen through it, but not in this picture because it was a hazy day. The spire on the far left is the summit of the park and is 3,230 feet above sea level.
