Douglas County Photo Gallery #2

At 272 feet,Watson Falls is the tallest falls in Southwestern Oregon. It is part of a creek running into the North Umpqua River.

This is down stream from Watson Falls.

This is a small waterfall at the North Umpqua River gorge.

My county stretches from the coast at sea level to Mt Thielsen (9,173 feet) near Crater Lake. This was taken on November 20th 1999; they have gotten several feet of snow since then.
For fall and summer views of Mt Thielsen, click here.

This fire truck is part of a festival of lights parade in Riddle, Oregon which is 20 miles south of Roseburg. The parade features logging trucks, fire trucks, tow trucks, police cars, and others. For more pictures from this Festival of Lights, click here.

This is why I hate clearcut logging. This is a common site in Oregon and is the number one industry in my county.
