Here is the kitchen as it was in the fall. JAN. 06 - I HAVE REPAINTED ALL THE CABINETS WHITE, AND IT LOOKS MUCH CLEANER AND PRETTY! NEW PICS SOON!
The cabinets were already painted this great orange color, so I unfortunately can't take credit for that. It actually looks much brighter and obnoxious in the pictures than it does in real life.
I love milk glass and jadeite and have a fetish for cake plates and other pedestal dishes. The rusty metal bowl and old tray on the top of the cabinets are more treasures from my grandmother. The ceramic trivet is something I painted to match the kitchen in my former house.
When I came across this vintage sign, I knew I had to have it for its irony (I have five pets)! I thought it was great that I lucked out enough to snap a picture of my cats lounging right next to the sign as if to challenge it!
These are some embroideries that my great aunt did, which were given to me by my aunt.
A sake bottle makes a great bud vase, don't ya think?
