Hiya! I'm glad you stopped by! I'm one of "those people" who know nothing about computer codes or building my own webpage from scratch, so I am making use of a web page builder :-D This site is for fun, as well as a place to direct the curious. The Basics My name: Jennifer, Jen, occasionally Jenna...never Jenni, if I have anything to say about it. Home: the beautiful state of North Carolina, where I have lived for my entire life. Enjoyments: good discussions with my wonderful family...Dad, Mom, and Josh...and friends, reading, corresponding, cooking, sewing, rug-making, decorating, taking pictures, singing, and doing sign language/interpretive movement to songs in worship to my Lord. Opinions: Chocolate is essential to a well-lived life...white chocolate doesn't cut it, milk chocolate barely satisfies the craving, dark chocolate is excellent. I highly reccomend daily consumption of chocolate covered espresso beans. Cream and sugar enhance the flavor of coffee, contrary to the opinion of my brother, dear friend, and many others who know a lot more about the drink than I do. Jane Austen was an excellent observer of human character, and reading her books is a sign of good taste in literature. Texans think their state is to be preferred over all others. I've been to Texas as well as many other states. While I love my Texan friends, I maintain my opinion of the supremacy of North Carolina in beauty and good weather. BMW's are the preferred mode of transportation. Ford is preferred over Chevrolet. The new Volkswagons are quite cute.
"Let the words of my mouth and he meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer." Psalm 19:14
Nothing that this world has to offer can compare to the glory of our God. Our hearts are deceitful and desperately wicked. We have spat upon the very One who gave us breath, and we deserve death and hell. In our human state, we can do nothing to earn God's love and forgiveness, and yet He does not condemn us to a life without hope. He sent us His Son, Jesus Christ, Who took our shame and our sins upon Himself and paid for them with His life so that we may have hope of a life eternal, where we may worship our Creator. We must acknowlege our depravity and accept His sacrifice..."if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9&10 The walk of a believer is not an easy one, but the reward of eternal life with our Lord is worth all that we may suffer in this world. "Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. ... But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them...." 2 Timothy 3:12&14 "We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down but not destroyed. ... Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look on the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, 16-18
