Donovan Family History
John Donovan married Rhoda Kenney August 28th, 1944. John was born May 22nd, 1818 in Saint John N.B. and died in Fielding, N.B. in 1881. Rhoda was born October 15th, 1828 in Bristol, N.B. and died in Fielding, NB. in 1902. Both are buried in Bath. John and Rhoda lived in the Bristol-Fielding area in New Brunswick where the first ten children were born. They moved to Moose Mountain where the last two were born.
John�s father was a Catholic priest in County Cork, Ireland. He immigrated to Boston with his brother Timothy in the late 1700s / early 1800s, and migrated to Saint John, N.B., to attend a Baptist College and become a minister.
