THE KORAN
Sura 87

This Sura talks about giving praise to Allah the Lord Most High.  It talks about making your life purified so that you may have everlasting life.  It also talks about the warning of what might happen if you don't do this.

Sura 75

This Sura talks about the day the Lord will resurrect us from the dead.  That He knows how to put us together because He is the designer and the creator.  It also talks about some not being raised and warns to praise and worship Him.  I also notice that in the script it says "We".  In reference to Allah.

Sura 16

Talks about Allah being the one and only again and being worthy of praise because He is the creator of all.  It talks about man having a soul by using the terms planting the seed and man being the capsule.  Talks about permission to use the animals as our servants and to help us with our crop.  Talks about the fact that fruit and water were given to us to eat and drink from.  That Allah created all these things for us to use and to not fear for we will be taken care of.  It then talks about the evil one and those that follow the evil one Allah will punish and has destroyed their foundations and homes.  Yet those that are at peace the Angels bless and those that are purified Allah will protect.  Talks about being compassionate and merciful. Also that Allah created the Heavans and the Earth and created all things spiritual and non-spiritual also about rules on the Sabbath.

Sura 2

This is talking about those who are saved Allah has placed a seal on their hearts so they are forever His.  Also the non-believers have a sickness in their hearts that needs to be cured from them or else they will die from it.  This conveys also that we should fear Allah in a good way and that He is worth of praise and worhsip.  This Surah has lots of parables in it or stories to set examples of doing good things and how things were created and why to praise Allah and also to give guidance to people.  Talks about Adam and the quarrels between Israel and them and talks about Israel having a different God then the Muslims.  The call this God Musa or possibly saying it's the evil one I'm not sure.  Talks about the fact that the Isrealis should die and be killed and punished by Allah.  I also read again the use of the term "We".  Is this in reference to the fact of a God-head as is disputed between the Muslims and Christians I'm not sure.  The reason I say this is the we is always capatilized W.  Usually signifying a person and in holy books He/Him/Holiest/God/etc. is all used for spiritual beings.  Then the Sura talks about trials and overcoming them.  It discusses Christians and Jews and etc. in that they have flawed scripture and that they even quarrel amongst each other.  A lot of anger I see towards the Christians and the Jews in this Surah.  Talks about fighting and reasons for war and fighting and Jihad.  Discusses idolatry and adultry.  Also intoxicants and drugs.  Discusses sexual intercourse and when is the proper and clean time for that. Discusses divorce and the rules involved in divorce.

Sura 4

Basically this entire Sura talks about women and how they should be treated, what they are entitled to, marraige, divorce, etc.  What is good in man/woman relationships and how each other should act towards each other and each others responsibilites in marraige.  Discusses who you can marry and who you cannot marry.  Talks about the punishments for disobeying these things and talks about what form of payment shall be made to the family of the woman.
THE NEW TESTAMENT
When reading the gospels or as translated the "good news" there are important things to observe in the different texts or books.  First is that each book was written for a specific purpose not necessarily just to tell a story.  In first century Greek "gospel referred to a message from a King or a favorable report about a significant event." -Michael J. Wilkins.  The purpose of Matthew is usually seen as being "A record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ the son of David, the son of Abraham." MJW.  It's important to note these different things because it is referring to two different people groups both the Jews and the Gentiles being their Messiah.  Mark is "The beginning of the gospel about Jesus Christ, the Son of God."-MJW.  this is showing the deity aspect of Christ.  Luke "Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word.  Therefore, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that yo umay know the certainty of the things you have been taught."  In this instance Luke the Doctor is referring to the accurate record of the events listed in his book.  Luke was known for paying attention to details even prior to the fact of him writing this gospel account.  John "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."  John is using a theological explanation and drawing reference to the Old Testament to add proof to Christs nature.
