| Question 10: Well he isnt necessarily my favorite ethical theorist but Ive had the most fun studying him. I know youll find this odd because of the e-mail Ive sent you but its Nietzsche. Mostly because hes caused me to re-examine my side of the ground and to help teach me more about myself and my own values. Also Ive gained a lot of insight from his way of thinking as to what we both could have learned from each other if I was able to talk to him today. For instance Id agree with his view that Christians need to practice more of what they preach. I really do feel that the single greatest cause of Atheism today is Christians. Who acknowledge Jesus with their lips and deny Him with their actions. As is quoted by DC Talk That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable. I feel he could learn from me based on my knowledge of the historical facts of the Biblical time era. I enjoy reading articles and things that prove the Bible without using the Bible. The reason for this is that if someone states they dont believe in the Bible you can no longer us that as your defense for your argument. You must now move on to historical things that they cannot feasibly consider irrelevant. Also Nietzsche has caused me to want to learn much more about him. I feel that we can learn from how he painted Christs teachings and he could learn from me what Saul and Paul really were like. |
