Well this whole course work affected me in a lot of ways. The first few writers really had little effect on me except for Nietzsche which helped me to better understand myself and better understand another worldview. However, I learned most from the ethical topics. From animal rights I fully understand where vegetarians are coming from now. I used to think it was just a joke or a psychopathic response to something they had seen and that it wasn�t to be taken seriously. I never understood how anyone could be a vegetarian because of how great meat tasted. But now I understand much better and want to learn more. I hope I can adapt to some of their lifestyles because of several reasons that I have. I still want to research more before joining them though. When it comes to abortion I saw another point of view I hadn�t seen before and that was Singers viewpoint which is definitely grey. I�ve never heard of anyone�s point being that grey before as most everyone is either stone cold pro choice or stone cold pro life. So that was interesting and caused much reflection. I also learned an extremely large amount from Euthanasia. I never realized it was legal in the Netherlands nor Oregon until I read his book. I also never understood why Dr. Kevorkian was such a huge deal back then. Now that I�m older all this makes great sense and I understand the debate a lot more now and am now pro PAS. I definitely think there must be regulation to it but I would welcome it to be legalized. And Gandhi wow, I never knew how great he really was. I heard of him and heard people say great things about him but never understood why. After reading his book I learned a lot about dealing with problems, dealing with abuses, and dealing with people in this world. I can�t wait to finish the whole book during the summer.
