CDR Promo

I get a lot of emails regarding this rare and much sought after Maiden CDR promo. The original information I set down a few years ago wasn't too good for the collector so due to demand here's a better run down on this magnificently hard to get UK promo.

Last time around I only placed one picture, the front sleeve. Although the sleeve is important it's the CDR disc that should always be looked at closely if you come across this CDR and want to add it to your collection.

The reason why this promo is hard to get is due to an EMI embargo on promotional activity prior to the release of the Brave New World album.

So here goes with the information -

The front sleeveis a rich royal blue on good quality paper and comes in a slim line jewel case -

Near to the bottom of the sleeve the following is printed -

Please note that the sleeve is printed on good quality paper and not on cheap thin paper.

The sleeve's spine has written from top to bottom -

Iron Maiden - Advance 5 track CD EMI

Please not that sleeve's spine in very slim and is perfrorated on both sides.

The inside fold out sleeve has the track listings, credits and once again copyright/ legal info.

The 5 tracks are:

1. The Wicker Man
2. Ghost Of The Navigator
3. Brave New World
4. Dream Of Mirrors
5. The Nomad

Please note the sleeve folds out into two panels with a smaller panel that folds over. There is no print on the reverse of the sleeve. It is white in colour.

The CDR should always be investigated VERY carefully before purchase. Be aware of the following -

1. Around the edge of the CDR is the copyright/ EMI information. The CDR was made in the EU the copyright 2000 Iron Maiden Holdings Limited.
2. Starting from the top of the CDR above the CDR centre the following info is printed in black ink. There is no other colour on the CDR disc -

3. Underneath the CDR centre the following is printed -
   1.THE WICKER MAN (4:35)

   4.DREAM OF MIRRORS (9:21)
   5.THE NOMAD (9:06)

Finally a small BIEM mark and beside that EMI is printed at the bottom of the CDR
Please not that the above print in blue is how the words are printed on the CDR

The reverse of the CDR is a green colour and not the standard colour you get with a normal CD release.



Unlike the majority of advance promos this one is different in that on playing Tommy Vance introduces the tracks and talks over them whilst playing. Although chat is keep to a minimum and does not detract form the excellent songs and production on offer.
