effort in getting this info to me.
The original pressing of The
Soundhouse Tapes ROK 1 is still the one fans want but bootleg copies have grown
in popularity over the years to such an extent that values have risen and
risen. It can easily set you back over £100 for the pleasure of having a
bootleg of Maiden’s first official vinyl release.
So when Adam contacted me with
questions on his copy and subsequent pictures to match I just had to give it
some space on the site. I have never
seen this version with this sleeve and would love to hear from any fans that
have concrete info on when it was pressed, quantities and all the other stuff.

Here goes then all the info that
has been supplied by Adam to the Trooper Sounds site:
First off there are
no etchings on the groove other than the codes HR09-A and HR09-B in the center
space between the grooves and label.
The following info can be seen on the label
Side a:
Hard Rock Music
Then symbols that look like IRONS (as in doing the ironing) with dots in them

"Invasion"

"Metal Maiden"
It has a freaky woman’s face in the middle.
Side b:
HR09 on the skulls head
Some cross bones
"Prowler"
SOUNDHOUSE
Hard Rock Music underlined with wavy lines
There looks like some sort of signature under the word "prowler", possibly "something / s.harris"
The vinyl is yellow.
The sleeve is predominately black with IRON MAIDEN in bold black letters and dots around it.
There is a thug that looks like Eddie with stud bracelets on and he has 2 spray cans.
At the bottom it says "The Soundhouse Tapes"
The top left hand corner has a evil face "looks like a pumpkin"
On the brick wall is the word "Eddie" spray-painted.
The back has another brick wall background that fills the area it says

Prowler
There is a crucifix on the bottom left
So can anyone supply me with more info? Was this bootleg originally issued in this sleeve? If you’ve got any answers please get in touch!
