Purgatory French vinyl release
Purgatory, the second single to be lifted from 1981's Killers album is an underrated Maiden classic. Failing to breech the UK Top 40 and failing to make any impact in the European charts this single has become one of the hardest Maiden vinyl's to collect.
It will come as no surprise that the French version is equally as hard to get a hold of as its UK cousin.
The only real difference from the UK version is the thickness of the sleeve and of course the country of origin but it is often the simple and unassuming Maiden records that slip through the collectors net. And really you want this one for the Eddie sleeve alone!

So there you go. Not by any means a classic Maiden collectable but nonetheless a worthy addition to any fans collection.
Lastly one for the fact fans out there: Purgatory was originally in the pipeline for the album sleeve to The Number Of The Beast. Wouldn't have been a bad choice if it had gone through either!
