Maiden Mania Greek Only Vinyl Box Set

I don't know where to start with this one! I have absolutely no idea when this piece was released, how many units where produced and for what reason the Greek Maiden fans got this one and on-one else did.
However what I do know is that this is another extremely rare and sought after Maiden rarity. Maiden Mania is right up there amongst the top hard to find Maiden items and can command a very healthy market price. But yet again just try and find one!

But why all the fuss? After this box is not what you consider lavish by Maiden's standards! You only get 5 vinyls in rather poorly produced sleeves; no inner sleeves; no booklet or other information and strangely the box itself does not have an EMI catalogue number. Is this a bootleg? Possibly but the vinyls themselves carry the EMI generic center label that adorns most of the European Maiden releases so it is fair to say that this is an original Maiden issue.

All the vinyls have - Made and printed in Greece by EMI Greece on the back sleeves. However looking more closely at each sleeve reveals that they are just copies of either UK 12'' vinyl sleeves or in the case of Women In Uniform and Maiden Japan copies of the European vinyl sleeves. Complete with 45 tours.
There is also strange codes on each sleeve all starting with MT followed by numbers, see above, I guess these could be a good guide to picking out an original Maiden Mania box with the correct vinyls.
The box cover is a collage of Eddies up to Somewhere In Time LP, the vinyls cover the era between 1980 - 1987.

Ludicrously rare and exceptionably difficult to track down in mint condition. I am afraid this one is going to see you visit the Bank Manager again! This will easily fetch £100/ $140 and then some. An unusual and totally unique piece is the Maiden Mania vinyl box set as I can't recall Maiden issuing such a set as this anywhere else.
UP THE IRONS!
