Euphemia Scarth Luke (nee McInnes), her daughter Margaret Robertson (nee Luke) and daughter-in-law Laura Luke (nee Robertson).
This is what happens when families inter-marry...no, hang on. That just sounds plain wrong! Alec Fisher Robertson married Margaret Luke, but his sister Laura married Margaret's brother George! Still, it makes for a nice, tight-knit family!
Alexander Fisher Robertson, my grandfather, strikes a pose. I can't get over the similarity between Alec and my dad. It's uncanny! I suppose in the same way folks say I'm a clone of my mum. People comment on it all the time. My mum and I are currently debating who wants to shoot themself first...

Robert Luke Robertson My dad always had a good head for figures and mathematics. He started by counting his toes as can be seen from this early picture. My mum didn't know why I wanted to put this on the website, but I told her I thought he was cute. She said it was the first and last time he was ever cute!
Alexander F Robertson and his son, Robert Luke Robertson.
Robert L Robertson and Roy the dog This is the other half of the dynamic cat/dog duo of Roy and Trigger. I wouldn't want you to think that my dad was obsessed with Cowboy and Indian films, or can still after over 45 years proudly recollect exactly which John Wayne film he saw in which long-demolished cinema...
"The hell he didn't..." Ooops! I cannot tell a lie. The above picture relates the fact that my dad spent most of his formative years pretending to stick up imaginary coaches and rescue the cat from the clutches of vile gangsters and cattle thieves... History sadly doesn't relate how many Indians were found lurking in the air-raid shelter...
I owe it all to Rugby... My dad didn't exactly set the Rugby playing world afire, but he was pretty decent at it (so he tells me!). This is he, in his Boroughmuir top, a team he still supports to this day - as do my sister and I for the same reason. Dad broke his nose playing a game of rugby when he was eighteen or so. He once stopped the car on the way down to Kelso races and pointed out the very field in which the deed happened! I get the feeling the memory still lingers. As does the slightly crooked nose.
