The Jemima Chronicles started roughly my first day in high school (9th grade). But since I have decided to discontinue it and rewrite it, it technically will be uploaded and starting within the next month or two (August-September of 2007).The first chapter starts on the month of December, during the jellicles 'Winter Solstice' celebration. Each month the jellilces will hold some form of celebration, festival, or holiday. And The Jemima Parallel Chronicles (Yes that's probably what they'll be called), will be more adult read, so probably pg-13 unless warned otherwise. (EX: Rated R) The New Jellicle Junkyard, started by accident. At first, I had just created a list of some cat characters that I might put into The Jemima Chronicles. That is until, I had too many characters for The Jemima Chronicles. I forgot about the list, later, when I got writer's block on The Jemima Chronicles, I came across the list again. So I began a whole new series, but it was only something I'd work on, to get out of my writers block, with the Jemima Chronicles. After a couple chapters, I really started to like the series alot, so it became my second project. In the stories, the beginning of TJC starts at the beginning of Summer(The jellicle hop), because I always loved Summer, still do. NJJ begins in the month September, for two reasons...one it's still Summer and two my birthday happens to be in September.
Well, The Jemima Chronicles, and New Junkyard Jellicles, have been updated once a day/week since February 27th. This is radical, and won't be updated that much by the end of March, 2007. Still, I hope to update the stories at least twice a month after that. If I get incredibly busy and can't, I will have a little note explaining that I am unable to update on such and such week, check back in a couple weeks for the next update. There will be of course unplanned updates, like when people send me some of their work, whether it be fanart or fanfiction. But yes, after this month, it will be updated twice a month.
For the Jemima Chronicles, I figured that the empire was like its own little unit/tribe, so there are many in the empire. However, the number thirteen was always supposed to be unlucky, so I decided that there would be thirteen for The Jemima Chronicles, but they don't start off with that many. Plus some of them end up leaving the empire, and becoming members of the yard. Again, there are thirteen enforcers for the New Junkyard Jellicles, but not all at once, some get added on later on. However, I didn't plan on having 13 enforcers, it just sort of happened that way. Some of them leave the empire and live in peace at the yard.
In JPC(Jemima Parallel Chronicles), there are different kinds of mystics, or jellicle's with super natural power. They are all different powers, magicians, teleportation, psychics, telepaths. There are certain cases where they'll have similar powers, but still slightly different. In NJJ, they are mystics there too, but are more often considered gifts or curses. There are healers, psychics, conjourers, telepaths, and a couple have powers but really aren't sure what they are, or what they can do. Also there powers can be inherited from their parents, as well as the JPC.
Well for JPC, I am not sure, since I have begun to rewrite it. So I guess we'll see how far it goes. The NJJ, is going to be consisted of 16 years. When I began NJJ, I had no idea how to end it, and thought it be pretty hard. But The Jellicle Chronicles, by Dennis Callin, gave me an idea of how to end my series. Course, I'm not going to have the return, because that is his work and his idea's, but it still helped me. By the time you get to Year 16, chapter 12, you'll have only a tribe consisting of 26-40 members, just like the original tribe at the beginning, only most of all the cats have disappeared. (It is going to be 16 years, since year 1 happens after the ball, so it will go 15 years after the ball) And I do not want to tell you the ending, because that would just give it away...but just a hint, since you might not get it, think 'Sliders'.(That might be a spoiler, so sorry, you may yell at me if you wish)
Yes, you can. Since Jemima Chronicles is discontinued, once I start uploading JPC (The New Jemima Chronicles) you can get involved as much as you like for that. I will still send in my art for NJJ, but there is no way that I'll have time to draw for JPC, so please by all means I do need an illustrator for JPC. (As well as NJJ, PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!) You can get invovled as much as you like, story/plot ideas, co-authors, (Your own character will be put into the series),  illustrator errr fanart, an editor, anything else along those lines that I may be missing. As for NJJ, I have just recently started this series, so if you want to get really involved with this series, like story/plot ideas, a character to be your own, sumbitting fanart, being an editor, or anything else along those lines, then NJJ is the series that you can really get involved in. It'll be fun, so contact me. :)
The main difference between The Jemima Parallel Chronicles, and The New Junkyard Jellilces is that NJJ is much more organized, though with Jemima Chronicles being rewritten, they are both pretty much organized.. The Jemima Parallel Chronicles and New Junkyard Jellicles have the same main characters, such as Munkustrap, Alonzo, Demeter, Bombalurina, Macavity, etc. But The New junkyard jellicles as characters for the original tribe that aren't in the original tribe for the Jemima Chronicles, such as George, Victor, Bill Bailey, Carbuckety, Griddlebone, Sillabub etc. Some of the characters look completely different, Example, Alonzo. In the JPC, Alonzo is black and white(like the video), but in NJJ, he is a brown tabby(like the hamburg or broadway production, can't remember, I get confused). Also, I wanted the characters to have different pairings, since, lets face it, most of them flirt with all the rest depending on which production you're watching, and I thought it would be fun to give them different pairings. Of course, some still have the same pairing, but thats because I love that certain pairing so much. In all reality, JPC and NJJ are completely different, and really they have nothing to do with each other at all. Completely seperate projects.
