"THE SOLDIER"
It is the soldier,
not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier,
not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the soldier,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us
the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the soldier,
not the lawyer,
who has given us the right
to a fair trial.
It is the soldier,
who salutes the flag,
who serves under the flag,
whose coffin is draped by the flag,
that allows the freedom
which allows the protester to
" burn the flag".
These people assemble together
and create the strength needed
in order to defend our
"Constitunal Rights"
We need to realize,
our forefathers , even up to
Most of "OUR OWN PARENTS"
Were Those Soldiers
.
It's a "Dirty Job",
but someone has to do it.
I wish I knew who it was that wrote the original text that I used for this idea, but I did modify it to say more than it did when I found it... So, Thanks to whoever you are for the inspiration.
