Jerrica Benton older sister of Kimber was also owner of Starlight Music and the Starlight foster home for girls. After her father's death Jerrica found a package in her room which contained two earrings that connected to Synergy, a holographic machine her father had built for her. By touching her earrings and saying "Showtime Syngergy" Jerrica was able to turn herself (with the help of Syngergy's powers of course) into rockstar Jem.
Jem and the Holograms were formed to take back Jerrica's company from Eric Raymond, the Benton's enemy. The Holograms decided to keep Jem's idenity a secret, even from Jerrica's high school sweet heart Rio. Rio has also fallen in love with Jem, Jerrica made sure of that on purpose. But now Jerrica's unsure of how Rio really feels about her and Jem. |
