Greetings from Chad in Jesus precious name !

The nation of Chad is one of the third world country in Africa which have known several civil war. Comparing to other nations in Central Africa, the nation of Chad is the latest country to be evangelized. This means that the church in Chad still need more help in his endeavour in reaching out the nation for Jesus. We thank God for the beginning of the ministry of YWAM in this nation. Even though the airfares are sometimes challenging, the team of YWAM from USA have managed to come for this short missionnary trip. Our church was especially blessed by their ministry and I am happy to write a short report for the glory of God.

 

Evangelism with Jesus Film

We really do enjoyed working along side the team of YWAM in the production of the Film. The team have visited three (3) villages and one (1) town in which Jesus film was shown on removable big screen. Five hundred (500) to one thousand (1000) came out at each production to wacth the movie and to hear the gospel of our Lord Jesus. An altar call was made at the end of every outreach. As we didn’t count the people, only God knows how many people got saved during these outreaches. Many have prayed the prayer of salvation accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. In the town of Koumra, the film was player on a big soccer ground and some mulims came to watch it.

Jesus Film is a very good tool for evangelism outreach. After the team have left, I get a copy of Jesus Film produced by CAMPUS for Christ in local langage. The question is who is going to provide the equipement for a public production like the team of YWAM. I believe that listening to the message of Jesus in local language will produce more impact than the film in French language.

The weekness of this program is the lack of the preparation of the local churches for the follow up of the new believers straight after the outreaches.

 

Ministry in some churches

Two of our local churches were blessed by the ministry of the team on Sunday services. In the church in I was with brother Thomas Dixon and brother Dave, the message on the subject of worship brought by Dixon was so challenging. Almost the congregation was on his knee at the of the message. Some saints came forward for healing and Holy Spirit baptism. The presence of God was real and many were blessed.

 

Teaching Minsitry

The team went with us in Koumra for an evangelism outreach. It was a program we have planned before their coming. In the morning, we have teaching of the word of God and in the afternoon we organisized open air meetings. Durring two mornings, the saints were challenged and mtivated by the teaching ministry of brother Dixon on soul winners and spiritual warfare. Again many believres came forward for delieverance and Holy Spirit empowerment. We had a great time in the presence of God. After the team have left, we were able to plant a new church in the town of Koumra. Above 300 people came at the first Sunday service. God have provided a land to build the church and a pastor to shepherd the flock. We dedicate this new church to the team of YWAM from USA in remembrance of their work in this town To God be all the glory.

 

You are wellcome to come back in Chad. The harvest is reap in Africa and we are longing to have brothers and sisters who will dare to stand with us by all means for the salvation of different ethnic groups.

I was so much impressed by the commitment of the team during their visit in Chad. They have eaten our local food, they have slept on the ground with us and they have played a lof with kids.
