Tours

·         Chester believes that their 1^st tour was the hardest because they had a tour manager and were on an RV, with no crew, so the members had to take turns driving. Plus the RV broke down a few times.

·         Linkin Park toured with Papa Roach in December. Linkin Park were calling Papa Roach “the broken home boys” and Papa Roach called Linkin Park “the Linkin Park Rangers.”

·         Linkin Park toured with the Kottonmouth Kings, Corporate Avenger, and Rehab. Mike thought it was funny that Rehab had a lot of vulgarity on their set, Corporate Avenger had a song called, “the Bible is Bullshit” and the Kottonmouth Kings smoked half a pound of weed on stage every night. But Mike thinks the best part of the this tour was going to downtown Disney World in Orland with these groups. The Mickey Mouse police came down to arrest people. That night one of the Kottonmouth Kings was arrested for illegal drug use.

·         On May 7^th 2001, LP did a concert in Sydney Australia and the floor collapsed. If the carpet wasn’t there LP would have collapsed with the floor.  (now, where the hell was I)

·         At the 12-6-01 Ozzfest in Indianapolis, Linkin Park decided to dress up as ‘80’s rock stars complete with leather pants and bandanas. This was their way of dealing with rough, Rock crowds for the 1^st few shows.

·         At the 28-7-01 Ozzfest in Charlotte, North Carolina Chester invaded Papa Roach’s act dressed as ‘Super-Chester.’ Papa Roach and the audience were very amused to see Chester dressed in a towel for a cape, and a sleeping mask covering his eyes. This was also Coby Dick from Papa Roach’s birthday.

·         Coby Dick also had a habit to show up on stage when LP were performing.

·         At the Projekt Revolution tour at Fort Worth, TX  (17-2-02), during the song ‘It’s Goin’ Down’ someone threw a small fire cracker into the mosh-pit. This being a very stupid and dangerous thing to do, Linkin Park had to stop the show to express condemnation to the person. Mike swore more than ever had at a live show before.

·         On the last day of the European Tour, Linkin Park played a prank on the Deftones. They replaced their water with vodka. You can view the amusing results on the Frat Party at the Pankake Festival DVD.

·         Projekt Revolution 2003 highlights: Xzibit added his own rap to ‘Nobody’s Listening’ when he joined Linkin Park on stage. They also had guys break dancing during that song. At the Tucson, Arizona show, Joe and Brad traded places. Joe played Brad’s guitar while Brad was on the turntables.
