A simple netted design has endless possibilities. It can be made any length.
String beads in this pattern ( one dark 3 light seeds) for the desired length of the necklace. End with a dark bead. (you need an odd number of sets) Tie on another ring
Find the center dark bead then count 9 more dark beads  to the right. This is where you will begin your netting. Tie a stopper bead on a new thread (leave a tail to tie in later) and pass the needle through that dark bead. String one light one dark one light and pass through the next dark bead. Continue this until you have 18.
At the turning point add two light, one dark and two light. Pass through the dark bead in the previous row.  Contine with the five bead pattern until you reach the last dark bead in the previous row. (The necklace will begin to curve on this row but it will right it self on the next row.)
Put the needle through the bead as shown, this is going to match the turn on the other end.
Add two light one dark and two light, and pass through as shown.  Pick up a 4mm fire polished bead and go through the next dark seed bead. Continue until you reach the end, leaving the one point without the 4mm bead. Tie off.
This necklace looks good with fringe added.
