| Hi everyone, welcome to my website. My name is Kellie Michelle Blight, I'm 20 and I live in a suburb of Perth called Shelley. My home base is a farm near a small town in the Western Australian Wheatbelt called Wagin. It is approximately 200kms south of Perth. I'm halfway through my third year of a four year course in Early Childhood Education at Curtin University after finishing year 12 at Narrogin Senior High School. Narrogin is quite a big school, especially compared to Wagin, where I went to primary school. There is approximately 850 kids in the school and were about 120 in my year, which at Wagin is half of the primary school and more than the high school has. I switched from Wagin to Narrogin at the beginning of year 8 because there are more opportunities at Narrogin. I loved Wagin and the community but Narrogin has it's advantages, the music program, I learnt the clarinet, and the ability to do more specialist courses. And of course if I hadn't switched then I wouldn't be friends with all the people I am now. I have a medium sized family. My mum, dad and a brother and sister. My brother, Allan is doing agriculture at UWA and my sister, Casey is in year 11 at Narrogin. I have two bestestest friends, Kate and Emma. Emma lives on a block hobby farm thing just out of Narrogin and Kate lives on the Wiesse family farm in Ngn too but of course they like the rest of us have moved up to Perth for uni. Another really close friend is Nicole, she and I have been best friends for a few months longer than I have been with everyone else. Even though we don't hang out together much I still think she is one of my really close friends, we have been through alot together. Then there's Adam, nothing can describe Adam, Adam is Adam, he's one of a kind, but one of the best friends a girl could have! and of course there is my gorgeous boyfriend Kieran. Kieran's awesome and i love him heaps and heaps. As well as all those previously mentioned, there are lots of people who are special to me, and they all know who they are! Ok now I'll tell you a little more about myself. Hobbies- well I enjoy music, writing it, listening to it, playing it (I play both clarinet and piano) and even singing sometimes (not too well though, it sounds better in the shower!!), which is why I chose to major in Art, music and drama within my teaching course. I'm not really sporty, but I play hockey (field type, we don't get too much ice here) and tennis , I also used to be a gymnast. I am an avid supporter of the West Coast Eagles (one of the two Western Australian Afl teams) mainly because two of the players (the Matera Brothers) grew up in Wagin, went to the same schools as I did and played footy with my Dad. I don't follow footy that much, doesn't really seem to make much sense to me. I'm also into beading (making jewellery from beads) and a bit of sewing. Other than that I like to read, swim and thats about all I can think of at the moment. As I said before my birthday is on the 8th of March, I'm a piscean. I was unfortunate enough to be born on the Woolarama, which is the big show in Wagin. Lots of people say I'm lucky coz I get to go out on my Birthday, thats when it's on the same day. But my dad works there most years for the two days either side, so I never really get to spend much time with dad, and if dad doesn't work mum does. My favourite bands/artists are the Beatles and Carole King. But I like a variety of music. I luv Powderfinger, The Waifs, Jack Johnson, The John Butler Trio, Maroon 5, Evanescence, Jet, Queen, Bette Midler, the Eagles, Matchbox 20, Fleetwood Mac, Santana, and some poppy bands are pretty cool too. Basically... i'll listen to almost anything... but i prefer the live band kinda stuff! As you can probably tell by how basic this site is I am not a computer whiz actually far from it. I think my family is the only family in the world where the dad knows more about computers than the kids! Another interesting point in my life is that I believe in reincarnation. I also feel that I am going to come back as donkey. Lots of people have told me I'm weird for thinking that but I don't care. I'm just an individual. I guess your probably wondering about the Jelly Baby bit. Well that's an old school nickname for me. there is a long story behind it. Same with Bligs or Bliggit my other nickname! In April 2002 I was fortuate enough to be sponsored to go to Thailand, it was an amazing experience. We went to the Dawn Service for ANZAC Day in Hellfire Pass on the Burma- Thai "Death" Railway. It was so awesome. I'm working on a page or two (ok well maybe a few more) of pics atm and they should be up and running soon! click Here to see whats there so far. Keep an eye out for changes, please inform me if something isn't working. Well I think I have been babbling on far a little too long. You can wake up now!!!! |
