| The Boys Chris Johnston - Lead vocals, guitar Scott Owens - Lead guitar, vocals Tim Marzorati - Bass, vocals Rob Dickey - Drums, vocals The Beginning The wheels experience all started when I went to see TVP at the orbit room the day before thanksgiving in 2001. 19 wheels opened the show and they rocked. I kinda knew their song "Broken" because I had heard on the WGRD but that's about all I knew. I felt dumb because many people in the audience knew the words to the songs and I didn't. Oh well... i thought maybe next time! Experiences December I can't quite remember how I knew when the next show was. I think it was my friend Matt. Interesting thing is that I met him because he saw this site and thought i was cool because i loved TVP.... interesting.... anyway bact to wheels! The show took place at the intersection in Grand Rapids. I remember Venkman opened the show and I thought the bass player was really cute. I actually got the guts to say hi and that I liked the show. I'm such a dork! Dovetail joint followed Venkman. They were really cool. I'll talk about them later. Finally 19 wheels took the stage! I remember wanting to stand in front of the bass player. I thought he was cute! I maybe knew 1/2 the words to the songs. I felt cool though. The bass player (Tim) almost hit me with his mic. I almost died because he smiled at me. The other coolest moment was when the drummer (Rob) threw his drumsticks at my friend and I!!! The show kicked ass and I was very happy. I didn't have enough guts to say anthing to the guys so I just left. January It was 19 Wheels paired up with Dovetail Joint again only at Club Soda in Kalamazoo. The Arguement also opened the show. My friend and I ended up getting front row again. Of course the wheels rocked the house! I don't rememeber anything significant about this show though. I still was too scared to meet them! Other shows!?!?! Ok I know I saw these guys a few more times. I did end up meeting them though! They are really nice. Rob was really cool. He talked me ear off! I liked it though! Tim was quiet. Scott was really cool. Chris was cool as usual. If I remember anything else i'll post it ok! Latest show The date was Saturday June 29th 2002 and the wheels once again kicked ass! I took some 19 wheels newbies and made some fans! Of course my friend and I made our way to the front row so we could catch every moment. We ended up taking a camera and the pics are up on my pic page... link below. They played 2 new songs one of them being very stupid girl. My friend and I had to give a message from Robert of Dovetail Joint to one of the guys. I always find Rob easy to talk to so we told him. The message was to "get fucked." Rob just laughed and told us to tell him that he rocks. I can't wait to see them on September 21st twice! I'll be 21 by then and have some really cool friends with me. General Comments 19 wheels kick ass! They're really awesome and nice and have great fun music! I hope they make it big. They deserve it!
