Life Has a Meaning

Life has a meaning,
He taught me that;
Friends standing together,
Hugging a myrid amount.

Live has a meaning,
With friends so near.
Our love is strong;
Friends this true are rare

Life has a meaning,
I know that now.
Friends are worth living for,
With a meaning of so much more!
Our World

Hunger, war,
Homeless, poor,
Pollution in the air.
What's our world coming to?
Do you really care?

Fighting, crying,
Sickness, dying,
Violence everywhere.
Do you try to help these things?
Or are you not aware

Cancer, AIDS,
Riots, raids,
The futures in despair.
Do you often wonder?
Or are your deep thoughts rare?

Abortion, drugs,
Killers, mugs,
You say it isn't fair;
So please just try to save our world,
And say a little prayer.

Sex, beer,
Divorce, fear,
People stop and stare;
Think about it: it's your world
Conserve it if you care.
ME

Underneath my exterior,
Underneath my clothes,
Underneath my words,
A special person grows.

I may not be beautiful,
My clothes may not always be the best,
My words may not always be kind,
But I am as good as the rest.

If you look underneath it all,
You will know it's true,
You will see the beauty inside me,
And you will understand me, too.

Do not rate me on the way I look,
Everyone is different if you take a look,
Look for the good instead of the bad,
If you look past my skin, you will start to understand.
What is Happening?

People living on the street,
Others stop and stare.
Why walk by when you can help?
People need to know you care.

Do you hear them in the streets?
Children are crying everywhere.
Do you just ignore these sounds?
Or, do you really care?

What do you think when people are dying?
What do you do when people need your caring?
Do you walk away?  Or do you stop and pray,
Pay attention to what is going on.
It's our world and we have to live here.
My Childhood

Moments from my past
Returning to my mind
Laying in a dark room
Talking to a friend
Finding out about her dad
Needing to cry
Not being able to
Trying to confront her
Going to the hospital
Looking all around
Thinking to myself
Why am I here
Visiting him there
He looked close to normal
Sitting there thinking
Why him
He can't die
What would happen
If he said good-bye
Like a father
Though not my own
Feeling relief
Finding out about remission
It wasn't too late
Happy again
He has over come it
For now
In this world we need love,
We need to be loved,
We need to love,
We need to get along,
We need to have respect.

In this world we need love,
Love can bring joy,
Love can bring pain,
Love can make you blind,
Love can make you see,
Everyone needs love.

Everyone needs love,
To have love,
To give love,
To feel loved,
To be loved
