-Old Deuteronomy: This one should be straight forward, seeing as how Old Deuteronomy is really the only "Adult" that he seems to respect, plus he helps Munk sing about him. Plus he even looks a little bit like Old Deuteronomy. And that his mother is unknown. This I can believe, and do believe.
-Old Deuteronomy/Grizabella: For much of the same reasons as above. And He even looks a bit like Grizabella, most of Grizzie's coat is black, like Tugger(In most productions). Though if this is true, whatever Grizzie did, Tugger must be furious, since he never forgave Grizabella. I can believe this, I don't really, but I can, I can totally jump on board with this theory as well.
-Jennyanydots: This one caught me off-guard, since he really doesn't respect her at all, though you never know with Tugger, and seems to really enjoy aggrivating her. But what are children there to do besides aggrivate their parents? Slightly in appearance, he looks like her. She's got leopard spots(Tugger, hint hint), and tiger stripes(Munkustrap, hint hint). I really don't believe this at all, but this is a possibility, and probably could jump on board with it. Though in most stories, Jenny was his 'adoptive' mother.
The only other theories I have come across where that he was a stray raised by Old Deuteronomy, or his parent's are unknown, and he was abandoned at the tribe.
His Profile:
He is mainly a black tom with gold trim, and leopard spots.(Don't forget the brown/tan vest) Of course this all depends on which production, in one he was all white with the gold, instead of black. He hangs out with his friends, when he's not flirting with a queen, which usually consist of Alonzo, Munkustrap, Plato, Admetus. (Sometimes Mistoffelees and MungoJerrie as well) There are sibling theories, and here is that. Some beleive him to the the brother or half-brother of Munkustrap and Macavity....the brother/half-brother of Munkustrap, Macavity and Alonzo....the brother/half-brother of Munkustrap, Macavity, Alonzo, Admetus and Plato, ...or the brother of Mistoffelees. He is absolutely one of the main characters in the tribe, even though he is constantly leaving only to reappear at a different time. We can only speculate where he goes and what he does. Moving on. This tom has many solo's throughout the play starting with the prolouge song, he even has his own song...I don't see Munkus with his own song. ::Evil laughter:: (Macavity has his own song too, but not Munkustrap. And Macavity isn't even part of the tribe. That poor silver tabby.) Tugger's big debut is his song, though many can spot him in the prolouge and just go "Ouu pretty". (Yes Tugger is such a great character) Did I mention that he's the player of the tribe, and very curious? Well he is. He'll flirt with all the queens and does pay some attention to some of the toms in his song, which makes me wonder if Tugger can swing both ways. (I wouldn't be surprised, the tom's too pretty to be completely straight, and besides, Tugger is a CURIOUS cat. I can totally see him hitting on toms as well as queens) Throughout the entire thing, Tugger constantly disappears and reappears, which makes you wonder what in the world he is really doing. But his other main roles, is when he reappears to sing about Old Deuteronomy. Who he really respects dispite his wild behavior. He also disappears during Macavity's song and fight, only to arrive to introduce Mistoffelees, who brings back there missing leader. Although Tugger can be a bad example, and be very wild and flirtactious, I think Tugger has a lot of potential to be something greater...There is a side of Tugger that no one really see's and though he flirts with the kittens, they look up to him, and I think he knows that. Also Tugger can be responsible when he needs to be.
Bombalurina- He and Bomba flirt, or more so she flirts with him in almost every production(Sometimes it is Demeter or even Jemima, instead of Bomba). Because of this many believe these two to be mates, since they obviously have some sexual tension and obssession to one another. I strongly disagree with this couple!!! These two are soo much alike it just wouldn't work. I've been in a relationship like this(We were way too much alike), and it didn't last long enogh to even be considered a relationship.
Demeter- These two are mainly fandom. Though Demeter is one of the ones on the floor screaming for Tugger(In most procutions), so I suppose that's enough in some eyes. She is even the one(sometimes) in Bomba's place, and the one who gets dumped by Tugger. But, this is still mainly Fandom, and I have even read a few stories about them. It was cute, but I don't really like Demeter with anyone else besides Alonzo....(and a little bit Munkustrap). So I don't like these two together at all.
Jemima- This one is both in speculation and in Fandom. In most productions, Tugger seems to favor her over the other kittens, but none are really sure why. There are some productions where she is in Bomba's place and she gets dumped flat. And there was even one production that I know of where Bomb and Jemima seemed to be in competition during Tugger's song, trying to get the leopard tom's attention, but he ended up dumping them both. (It was still cute though) Again, this is mainly fandom, and there are some really good stories with these two. This is my favorite pairing for him.
Cassandra- Well, I'm not sure which productions, but there are a few where these two flirt a bit, though he flirts with anything that moves basically, but she and him seem to be more attached with each other than he is with Bomba in those said productions. I really can't see these two together,...but I have read it in fandom. I think she's too high class and he's too much of a player, and her heart would just get broken...and I like Cassie too much to see that happen. ^.^ I do like reading these two in fanfiction, but I just can't see these two together, but I'm trying.
Etcetera- This one is more so one-sided, and is in Fandom A LOT! Cettie, though she is not in a lot of productions...the one's she is in, she is usually the loudest one screaming for him, and has rhe biggest crush on him. (That's where the one-sided thing falls into place) This one has a lot of stories in fandom, to my surprise. I really honestly could not see them together at ALL. I didn't understand how these two could be together. Until I met one of this pairings biggest fans. I still don't like them together, but I am sort of coming around to this pairing...This is most likely my second favorite pairing for him.
