-Old Deuteronomy: Some beleive that he is one of the many sons (or children) of Old Deuteronomy. Well I mean the two look nothing alike, plus they seem to hate each other. Though there is a fine line between hate and love. It really doesn't match up. Yet, strangely enough I can beleive this, and usually the theory that I DO beleive in.
-Stray: Other's beleive that he was just a stray that was accepted in the yard, and possibly taken care of by Old Deuteronomy. There are some fanfiction out there where he is a stray, that his parents are unknown, or dead. Well I can beleive this one too, I mean it's possible, but not the one that I really beleive. But you never know, ne?
-Jenny/Skimble: This was another theory. Now don't jump to conclusions. This theory was ADOPTED parents. So this would go along with the whole stray theory business, but instead of being on his own or being raised by Old Deuteronomy, he was raised by Skimble and Jenny. I don't beleive this one, at all, but sure it could be a possibility. I wouldn't mind reading about a younger Maccy reaking havoc with Jenny and Skimble. (I think that would be really hilarious.)
The only other theory I came across was the same as above, only he was raised by Jelly. Again, I don't beleive it, but I think it would be cute and hiliarious to read about him causing trouble for Jelly.
His Profile:
He is usually the same around the world, tall red/ginger tom, with white streaked stomach. Though his costume does change during each production, nothing too drastic. (The one I saw he had black cross-hatching on his front side, and it made him look similar to Mungojerrie, or Mungojerrie to him) He doesn't hang out with anyone. (Though in the certain productions where he is seen throughout the whole thing, he probably does have certain jellicles that he hangs out with) He has many sibling possibilities. Munkustrap, Rum Tum Tugger, Alonzo, Admetus, and Plato are some of those possibilities. Some even think that Bombalurina might be his sister. (Which would be gross, she seems to be turned on by him at times) There are also some children theories. Mungojerrie(Through Demeter-Which I can beleive. Jerrie does work for him, and he does look like a blend of both Demeter and Macavity), Jemima(Through Demeter-Appearance wise I can see this, but nothing else really matches, and I just don't see him as her father), and Electra(Through Bombalurina-Well appearance wise, she does look like them, and even slightly in personality. I don't beleive it, but I'm sure it's a possibility). Alright, well I can't say what happens in the productions where he is seen throughout the entire play, because I have not seen it. (I want to though-I LOVE Macavity, he's my favorite tom.) However, in some he dances and sings his song with the queens(Read the left panel for more details). Other than that, he is only seen probably 5-7 minutes out of the entire play. He catnapps Old Deuteronomy and tries to catnapp Demeter, too, but ends up getting into a fight with Munkustrap, and Alonzo. He has no solo's, except for an evil laugh. ^.^ I still think he's one of the main characters and one of the most important and busiest(backstage). He's the anatgonist of the play and gives the play a plot. That's most important, right? ::LOVES MACCY TO DEATH!!!::
Demeter- Well like I said above this one is mostly fandom, although this one can be speculation as well. She always seems to know when he's around and is very skittish of him.(Though in some productions she sings the song as if she misses him) This can be speculated that the two had some type of relationship, whether they uased to be mates and then broke up, or if he raped her, the list could go on(I think you get it). This one is used in fanfiction a lot, though most times the two don't stay together for very long. In some productions, he is in the entire thing as his own character, (Which I haven't seen), and in others he will dance and sing with the queens during his song(Another I haven't seen, but want to). My friend saw it, and saw that Macavity was heavily flirting with Demeter in it. ~.^ I do not agree with this couple, just because I love her with Alonzo(And a little bit Munkustrap.)
Bombalurina- This one is speculated and this one is in fanfiction as well, not as much as Demeter, but still a lot. Usually she is just as terrified and freaks out whenever he's nearby right along with her companion, Demeter. Plus she sings his songs as if she knows him personally. Speculating that the two used to be close like friends, (in her case probably lovers), or perhaps he had raped her, too. (Tis all speculation on which production you see anyway) Also, in the productions where he dances and sings with the queens, he and Bombalurina can be found flirting a little bit. I do not agree with this couple. I think these two would be interesting, but ultimately I think the two would just be using one another for there own reasons.
Jemima- This one is mainly in speculation, though it can be found in fanfiction. These two I think are cute together, besides if you truly do think about it, they complete each other. There is not a lot of fanfiction out there with these two, but there are some cute ones. The speculation comes into play on those said productions above. The productions where he will dance and sing his song's, he'll flirt with Deme, and Bomb, but when they shoot him down, he and Jemima will flirt. He does flirt with Etcetera for a little bit afterwards(If you can beleive that one, it is true though), but he ends up going right back to Jemmie and the two dance the rest of the song together, how cute. This is defiantely my second favorite pairing for him.
Griddlebone- This one is both in speculation(Stretching it), and in fanfiction. In Macavity's song, it is said that Griddlebone is an agent for Macavity. So we have to at least speculate that the two see each other often. (Since he orders her to do certain crimes for him) But to speculate that they are anything more than that is really stretching it. However, these two can be found in a lot of fanfiction. I have even written stories of these two. Although I think these two would just be using each other and wouldn't work, this is probably my favorite pairing for him.
