Gus- This one (even though can be found on the mate side to your left) is usually discussed as him being her father. And since I beleive Jelly is a lot younger than they make her seem I can totally agree with this. Both in appearance and personality. Not to mention she seems to take care of him a child might do for their parent.
Asparagus Jr.- Even though this one is sometimes debated under them being mates, it is sometimes speculated that they are instead, siblings, and their father is Gus Sn. This one I can totally beleive as well, for not only do they act like siblings, they both look like Gus in a way, and just look like siblings.
Old Deuteronomy- One of her other Father theories is Old Deuteronomy, and I can believe this one too, because the age fits nicely, Old Deuteronomy does have many children, and since Gus and Deuteronomy look so similar, the appearance and personality would fit, if she were his daughter. There is some speculation that he is actually her Uncle.
Jennyanydots- There is a lot of speculation that her and Jenny are sisters, or half-sisters. I can beleive this, probably because the two are so close in most productions. They have the same kind of speculation as Demeter and Bomba. Are Jenny and Jelly sisters or just best friends? Probably both or more, it just all depends on what production you watch. Each production is different.
Etcetera- This one is weird. Some think Etcetera could be Jelly's daughter since the two look so similar, and I can totally beleive this and can see it. Still, some believe that Etcetera is not her daughter and is in fact her kid sister. They look enough alike to be siblings, and honestly, I can believe this theory. The theories are just endless in CATS, I love it.
Victoria- This one however, is beleived to be her daughter, nothing more. Not a kid sister. just that Victoria is Jelly's daughter. This I can believe, because not only is there some resmeblence in appearance between the two, the two do act like mother and daughter. I can beleive this a lot.
Any other theories are, her parents/siblings are dead, already in the heavyside layer, or she was abandoned, and stray.
Her Profile:
Jellylorum is usually a white based jellicle, with gold, brown, and black or grey stripes and hatching throughout her coat. She is not the same throughout the world though. Some productions she mostly all gold, or all silver.(Just look below at the pictures.) She usually hangs outs with Skimble, Jenny, Gus/Gus Jr., and Bustopher, but few tend to ignore the fact that she spends a LOT of her time with Demeter and Bombalurina as well. Which is why I believe she is younger than many tend to make her. Jelly has a lot of solo's starting with the Prolouge song, and I guess people forget, or ignore that fact. Jelly is one of the more important ones to the jellicles and I think she is horribly underapreciated. Poor Jelly....*Hugs Jelly* Jelly sings a part of Jenny's song, with Demeter and Bomba in most productions, and then will be one of the ones to sing about Bustopher Jones with Bomba, and Jenny. (In most productions) Her role seems to dwindle down a bit, until after the jellicle ball dancing. Where she and Gus sing a duet together. Not only does she sing that song with him, she also goes backstage, changes, and sings 'Growltigers Last Stand' as Griddlebone. Which is a pretty important part, and I'm mad that they cut that out of the video, it was by far one of the most entertaining songs in the entire musical. Her part does dwindle back down after that, though she is one of the ones that gets to go after Macavity after Munk and Alonzo fall. Jelly is definitely underappreciated, and that makes me sad. Not that this has anything to do with the musical, but most fans believe her and Jenny to be like the tribal healers or Nurses/Doctors of the tribe. I'm not sure how that came to be though.
Asparagus Jr.- This one is mainly in the video, since Asparagus Jr. really only shows up in the video. In the video these two are together a lot, but they're together a lot with Jenny, and Skimble too. Still these two are together during the mating dance. It's hard for me to get these two together, since they look and seem more like siblings to me. It's still cute though.
Gus- This one is only up here, because she is close to him in all other productions the way she is to Asparagus Jr. in the video. In many other productions these two will be together a lot, and are together during the mating dance a lot as well. Still It's undertermined whether or not she's his daughter or mate.
Skimbleshanks- There's no real evidence to this pairing, aside from the fact that she spends a lot of her time with him, Jenny, and Gus Jr. in the video, and even spends some of her time with him in different productions. There's probably one production out there where these two are mates or are flirty. I can agree with this couple, not only are they close in age, but they just seem to work. This is probably my favorite pairing for her.
Bustopher Jones- There's no real evidence of this pairing either. It is a known fact that Jelly finds him attractive, just like Jenny and Bomba do. I'm sure Bustopher enjoys all three ladies attention, even though he favors Jenny. I can definitely see this one happening, maybe not right away, but I do agree that this couple would work. This is absolutely my second favorite pairing for her.
Old Deuteronomy- This one is way out there, mainly because I believe there to be a huge age gap between these two. Age gap or not, I've read a few stories of these two either mates or being mates once upon a time. There were also a few RPG boards were these two were together, or got together. The boards and stories always seemed to make their relationship work. It was cute, and I don't mind them together, but I don't agree with this couple at all.
