OTHER CATS:
-Practical Cats(Grizabella)-A cat who is useful, or realistic. She is both useful for the powerful message that is eventually engraved into the jellicle cats. And she seems to be a very realistic(Down to earth) cat. She's been through it all and is as real as can be.
-Dramatical Cats(Gus Sn)- A cat who tends to be overly dramatic(Or vivid/excited). Gus, the theatre cat definately fits, I mean it's in his name!!! He loves to talk about his old drama days and will act it out too. (AKA Growltiger, which they cut from the video.) Grrrrrr....
-Pragmatical Cats(Etcetera)-A cat who is very active or busy. Can be called meddle-some too. I think Cettie fits, I mean so could Electra, both are always up to something and very active. Cettie is so active though, that people associate her with bundles of energy. She can also be meddlesome, but she's cute when she's meddling.
Fanatical Cats(Electra)-A cat who is possessed or motivated with much energy. This cat is usually in love with the Rum Tum Tugger. So Either Leccy or Cettie would fit into this group. Electra is just as crazy about Tugger, or rather obssessed, but she's a cutie to watch.
Oratorical Cats(Munkutsrap)-A cat with a characteristic of public speaking. Munkustrap would be perfect. He is the one that sings most of the songs, and is the main speaker. He doesn't have a problem speaking in front of the tribe, or an audience for that matter.
Deliphorical Cats(Cassandra)-A cat who is obscurely prophetic, or enigmatic/mysterious. Lets face it Cassandra is one of the most mysterious cats in the whole tribe. Plus her name, Cassandra...I believe its Greek, for Prophet.
Skeptical Cats(Macavity)-A cat who is marked by or given to doubt; questioning. I beleive it's obvious, why else is he so easily influenced by crime? I'm sure he always questions what he does, he'd be a fool not to. That's another reason why he's so good at the crimes he does do.
Dispeptical Cats(Rumpleteazer)- Of or relating to remorse disposition.(A gloomy mood) I'd say a cat who has quick mood changes, can be happy and cheerful one moment, and then angry or sad the next. Teazer is cheeky and playful, but if you watch closely, her mood does tend to change a lot.
Romantical Cats(Demeter)-A cat pertaining to a dreamy and imaginative mind. This certain cat is so fixed upon meeting her "True Prince Charming". And seriously, I think Demeter fits nicely. No matter what production you are watching, she does find her true prince charming in the end. (A true romantic)
Pendantical Cats(Alonzo)-A cat who is constantly trying to impress the other's through learning. Mistoffelees would most likely fit better, but I think he tries to impress Old Deuteronomy & Munkustrap, while Alonzo just tries to impress anyone. And along the way both Misto and Alonzo learn. Misto learns more about his power, while Alonzo learns more about queens, and fighting.
Critical Cats(Bombalurina)-A cat inclined to judge severely and find fault. Now most of the tribe can be under this group, and I'm not picking on Bombalurina, she's one of my favorite cats. However, Bombalurina is the one who really judges Grizzie and finds the old queen faulty. She doesn't do it in all productions. But in the one I've seen she would push and scratch the poor queen. That's pretty critical in my eyes.
Parasitical Cats(Rum Tum Tugger)-A cat who is characterized as taking advantage of other's generosity, without attempting to return the favor. That's obvious, the Rum Tum Tugger. He expects all of the queens attention but has no intention of returning it. He'll give them quite a show, and enough to hope, but not what they REALLY want.
Allegorical Cats(Mungojerrie)-A cat containing, abstract, narrative, and dramatic ideas. Now I don't have any real evidence to put Jerrie here. But think about it, you'd have to be abstract, and creative to pull off crimes similar to Macavity. So really Maccy could've been here too, but I will give it to Jerrie.
Metaphorical Cats(Jemima)-A metaphorical cat is symbolic. This cat would be one 'thing' representing another 'thing'. Now Jemima isn't a thing, but she usually represents happiness, innocence, or acceptance. It is said that Jemima is the symbolic image of Grizabella. Many beleive that when she's older Jemima could very well do the same thing Grizabella did. (And sort of become the new Grizzie)
Statistical Cats(Jellylorum)-A cat who does, or relates to estimating another cats principals. Now this cat could be pyschic, or just plain nosey. I'm not saying she's pyschic, but I am saying that she is pretty nosey. She has to be in the loop, to know whats going on with the kittens, and even the adults. Jennyanydots could be in this group, too, but I'm putting her in another group.
Mystical Cats(Tantomile/Coricopat)-A cat who obviously, has a spiritual reality, or direct communication with the ultimate power("God") I hope I don't have to explain why the twins are going in here, but if you want an explaination, email me, and I'll give you one.
Political Cats(Old Deuteronomy)-A Cat exercising or relating to the 'government' or public affairs. Not that the jellicle tribe is a state of government, but it is a tribe, and certain jellicles do have some authority. Old Deuteronomy would just fit, since he is the leader.
Hypocritical Cats(Rumpus Cat)-A cat whose 'public' belief's, statements or attitude is false when compared to their 'private' belief's, statements and attitude. Or a cat who says he/she is one way, but lied, they're really not. Rumpus cat isn't a real cat of the jellicle tribe, though in their world, I'm sure he exsists, just like Gus, and Bustopher. I think he's hypocritical though. He claims to have stood up to little tribes of dogs(Pekes and Pollicles), but yet he's scared of Macavity, a cat.
Clerical Cats(Plato)-Pertaining to, or assigned to keep records, attending to correspondence(Communication), or filing. Could also be in reference to a scholar. The only one I can think of is Plato, and I know he doesn't keep the records of the jellicles. But like Cassandra, it's in his name. Plato was a scholar, in greek(I think it was greek, anywho, he was a scholar none-the-less) Plato is always in the shadows so there may be some hidden talents that no one knows about. You just don't know. I know that's not real evidence though.(But I don't see you coming up with anything)
Hysterical Cats(Skimbleshanks)-A cat who is irrational, from fear, emotion or emotional shock. It could also be described as a cat whose very funny, and causes laughter. I'm going with the latter. Skimbleshanks is very animated, and his song is very funny. All the cats can't wait for his song, they love it and him that much. Still Teazer and Jerrie are funny cats, too, so they could be in here as well.
Cynical Cats(Exotica)-A cat who is bitterly or sneeringly distrustful, comtemptuous, or very pessimistic. No real evidence, but she's always in the background, and doesn't join in with the others when they dance and communicate. I know she only appears on the video and was made especially for Femi, but I Like Exotica, and it felt wrong not to include her. But like I said, above, and perhaps its because she doesn't trust the other's too well.(Yeah I know it was for Femi, and was only supposed to be a swing, blah, blah, blah.)
Rabbincal Cats(Jennyanydots)-Of or pertaining to Rabbis(A title of respect of Jewish teachers), or to their writings/learning. Now I'm sure the Jellicle's aren't jewish, probably don't even know what it means. However, I'm going to say that for the Jellicles it means a teacher, with respect. Jennyanydots, really isn't a teacher, but she does teach mice to do certain things, and she even teaches things to cockroaches.(Which I must say is pretty gross) Not only that, but she has the respect of the jellicle tribe, except maybe for Tugger.(Though with him, you never know)
