Elaine Paige performs as the old miserable Grizabella in "CATS" Elaine originated the role of Grizabella in 1981. Grizabella is a "The Glamor Cat" but she appears old, shaggy fur and stained.
  Elaine was one of the first British ladys to perform a Musical Theater production. She has done heaps of other peformences, some of her creidts include: Originating the roles of Evita in Evita, Grizabella in "CATS', Florence in Chess and Edith Piaf in Piaf. She has had numerous other starring roles as well, in shows such as Sunset Boulvevard, Hair, Grease, Billy, Jesus Christ Superstar
and Everything Goes.
