The ugly duckling looked at the swan
And loved her long, slender neck
The ugly duckling saw a crane
And envied her delicate legs
The ugly duckling caught a glimpse of a parrot
And wished that she had those bright colors
The ugly duckling took all of these things
And made herself into a pink, plastic being
She cut and she dyed and she pasted and so
She made herself into a pink flamingo
