Remembered Reflection
Tears appear of times long past
Preserved within the looking glass
Jeweled diamonds of remembrance
Sweetly fall as I reminisce
I dream of time not so long ago
When I didn't care that I didn't know
Time when I was free from worry
And didn't feel the need to hurry
I'm all grown up, or like to pretend
That my best years are just around the bend
I want to be there, and so I rush
To be my own person; to be grown up
But even now, I start to see
The risk of missing being me
And this idea is gaining clout:
My time is swiftly running out
