A Musa Oblectata: A Woman A Mused

I dont want your close embraces
Holding me tight in my bed, intruder
Leave me alone as I try to sleep
Stop kissing my ears, my neck, stop holding
My hands, stop twining my feet and legs
With your own. Depart from my blankets,
And quickly: Its very cold; its very dark.
But if you will not leave, then move
Your hands someplace more convenient
More comfortable; or at least move them:
Let us together not be still,
But quickened: Its very cold; its very dark.
And if you must be moving
And if we must move then let us
Move together; come a little closer, crawl
Into my skin, into my skin, into,
Into my b-b-bones and let me find
You deep inside myself and warm
The slowing blood: Youre very dark; youre very cold.
