My Psalm

You have done great things
No matter where I am
No matter where You are
No matter who You reveal me to be
I know what You've done for me
Trust your Lord, oh my soul
Do not cast yourself down on the rocks of self-sufficiency
Hold tight to the promise of the past
And the fog-seen promises of the future
Oh Lord, I put my trust in You
Knowing that You have worked before
Where I couldn't see
And I trust that what You are making
As you hold one hand over my eyes--
Or as I wait for my gouged sight to be restored--
What You are making is good
