A Musa Oblectata: A Woman A Mused

|  Ad Musa  |  Φιλοσοφíα  |  Essays  |  Prose  |  Poetry  |  Obsessions  |

How could I ask a passion so intense to wait
To hold while I complete the mundane day-to-day
There is no halt or stall for love so great
For every breath depends on passions stay

And couched in verse Thy love grows paltry dim
Though each thought burns encased in glowing fire
Demonstrations of my love a cooling rim
My sole recourse to all your love inspires

My fabled vision of time alone
Becomes a fading myth exchanged for truth
And blinded vision, desperate to atone
Seeks any sign in word or deed of proof

Surrender, scales fall useless from my eyes
As peace descends, my head is gently doved
And voice before unheard, home calls from sky
Before unheeded proof, you are beloved.
